Dandruff is one of the most common health issues faced by the majority of people nowadays, including me. If you are using chlorinated water then there is a higher probability of getting dandruff.
The exact cause of dandruff is unknown, however, the possible factors are lack of cleanliness and having a dry scalp.
One of the most effective remedies for dandruff is the hot oil massage. Now spending money and time in salons can be difficult if you are working. I’m not promising the instant cleansing from dandruff. But if you repeat this once in a week and, within 2 months, you can control it 80%.
You can use any kind of oils, like olive oil, almond oil or, coconut oil. Here I’ve used this herbal oil, recommended by an Ayurvedic doctor. It is called Dhurdhurapatradi herbal oil.
As it is merely herbal, I don’t need to stress over the side effects. Heat the oil until it’s moderately hot. Dip a cotton pad in the oil and apply it on the scalp. Gently massage the scalp for 15-20 minutes.
Next step is to steam your scalp. If you have a steamer then it’s perfect. Else, you can dip a towel in hot water, and squeeze the hot water off and, wrap your head with the towel for 15 minutes.
Wash your hair using a mild shampoo and conditioner. I’m using the L’Oreal Paris Elvive Arginine Resist X3.
You need to repeat this process once a week to get the maximum impact.
